Need work gear or a uniform? We can help!

Our Education team can help cover the cost of safety gear, uniforms, and other job-related essentials. Here are some examples of what we’ve supported for members in the past:

  • Steel toe boots
  • High-visibility vests and jackets
  • Hard hats
  • Work gloves
  • Coveralls
  • Scrubs (ex: for healthcare roles)
  • Non-slip shoes (ex: for kitchen or hospital work)
  • Safety goggles or protective eyewear
  • Hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs)
  • Rain gear or waterproof workwear

Need a certification? We can help!

Our Education team is here to support you in finding the right certifications — and we can help cover the costs too. Here are some examples of certifications we’ve supported for members in the past:

  • First Aid & CPR / Occupational First Aid 
  • Food Safe
  • Serving It Right (ex: for hospitality work)
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
  • Traffic Control (Flagger) Certification
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Class 1, 2, 3, or 4 Driver’s License Training
  • Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
  • Security Worker License (BST – Basic Security Training)
  • Computer or digital literacy certifications (like Microsoft Office)
  • Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate
