Health Admin and Employees

It is the objective of our Nation to ensure effective and efficient governance and management of community health services.

The priority is the accreditation of the Health Centre through Accreditation Canada, an independent body that accredits hospitals, clinics and health agencies across the country.

It is a priority of Chief and Council and the Health Centre team to retain doctors, dentists and other medical services, even on a part-time basis. Our funding comes almost entirely from the federal government and not from the province, which has the mandate for these services.

We are committed to continuing our efforts to put into place these medical services to compliment the range of public health services that we are already providing through the Health Centre.

The Health Centre manages its budget effectively and ensured the efficient use of allocated funds.


Snuneymuxw members have the right to access quality health care services both within the Snuneymuxw Health Centre and throughout the Canadian health care system. Clients also have the responsibility to assist in their own diagnosis and assist their caregivers in all possible ways.

The Health Admin team works to provide smooth day to day operations of the Health Centre.
