Acupuncture for Addiction Recovery Program (AARP)

Starting in October 2017 the Health Centre with Dr. Rachel Eni will be offering Acupuncture treatments.

Acupuncture involves careful, shallow insertion of needles at various points on the body, head or ear to help ease withdrawal symptoms and reduce cravings. For those who find needles intimidating, non-needle remedies may also be available.

Acupuncture is safe and this program is offered to you at no cost. Other benefits include: reduction of cravings, increased retention in rehab, ease of unpleasant withdrawal symptoms, ease of physical pain, helps regulate emotions, decrease anxiety, stress and depression, helps regulate sleep.

Dr. Eni has a PhD from the University of Manitoba, College of Medicine, Community Health Promotion, Public Health, Epidemiology. She is a registered Acupuncturist, graduate of Hua Xia Traditional Chinese Medicine and Herb College.

Her practice in Snuneymuxw First Nation is made possible by support of the Tzu Chi Foundation, First Nation Health Authority, Simon Fraser University and Snuneymuxw First Nation.
