Job Description: 

We are looking for motivated people with a mechanical aptitude, who have a demonstrated excellent work ethic. The employee should have a presentable appearance to deal with the customers,
the public and other jobsite workers, and to maintain the good reputation of the company. They should have a good command of the English language to deal politely with the public, read specifications and
plans, fill out coherent and legible daily progress reports, and construct letter stencils with the correct spelling. They should be in good physical condition, as the work involves a variety of strenuous physical
activities. They will be required to hold a Class 5 driver’s license, and be comfortable driving a cube van and 5-ton truck. The status of the license may be checked on occasion for suspensions or other
problems. As we work both nights and days with no set timetable, due to the constraints of the different locations, weather and work load, we need employees who are comfortable with changing plans and
schedules, and able to work at short notice on occasion

Job Responsibilities: 

The employee will be trained in all aspects of line painting of parking lots and roadways. They would be learning the techniques and methods of repainting existing traffic markings, and the layout and painting of
new traffic markings to specifications and plans. On the job troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of the equipment and machinery would be covered. As the employee gains experience, they
will need to be trusted to go out alone or with a crew to paint and repaint parking lots, roads, and highways.  The person to be hired will start working right away as a labourer, assisting in organizing the trucks and
shop, loading trucks with required equipment specific to a job, and preparing a jobsite for painting or repainting. They will learn the basics of traffic markings by working with experienced employees, to
prepare the equipment, delineate the work-site with cones and signs, and assist in layout of new lines and markings. As their experience grows, they will begin to do these tasks on their own, and eventually
painting the majority of job sites unsupervised. As well, they will learn the methods and criteria for estimating a job in order for the office to generate a quotation to a property owner.

Job Benefits and Salary: 

$20.00 / HOUR (depending on starting skill levels)
