Job Description: 

1 FTE Nala'atsi Alternate Program Teacher
 
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Recent teaching experience in Grades 8-12 with Aboriginal students in an alternate setting
* Knowledge of and experience with secondary core curriculum grades 8-12 (Science; Math; Social Studies; English)
* Experience with adapting and modifying curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students
* Skills and experience with the development and implementation of I.E.P.s
* Ability to provide culturally based Science content
* Recent experience in the development and implementation of Aboriginal programs
* Experience working collaboratively with school administrators, teachers and district staff
* Ability to work effectively as a member of a collaborative Aboriginal Education team
* Experience establishing relationships with Aboriginal students and families
* Experience establishing and maintain links with the Aboriginal community
* Aboriginal ancestry required
