National Aboriginal Day 2016
Snuneymuxw celebrates National Aboriginal Day!
On June 21, many community members came together at the New Multi-use building to enjoy activities and entertainment to celebrate National Aboriginal Day 2016.
Emcee Nancy Seward welcomed all to the celebration, inviting everyone to participate in the many activities. Doug White II, Chris Good and Erralyn Thomas then spoke on behalf of the Chief and Council.
There was face painting and tattoos, tables with arts and crafts, a soccer target game, a bouncy castle, a fish pond game and Photo Booth. Tasty treats were on hand such as candy apples, cotton candy and popcorn and a delicious lunch!
The Footprints of the Wolf singers performed a number of beautiful songs.
Thanks to the members of Chief and Council who attended and joined in the celebration!
Thanks to Nancy and Amanda who volunteered their time to prepare a great lunch for everyone!
Special thanks to Tara White, Desiree Harris and Vanessa Wyse and helpers for organizing a fantastic event!
It was great to see everyone having a good time and enjoying the Aboriginal Day activities in the new gymnasium.
