DEADLINE: Bursary funding for students enrolled in early childhood educational programs
There is a bursary funding opportunity from the Early Childhood Educators of BC (ECEBC) for students enrolled in early childhood educational programs. Through initial funding from the Ministry of Children and Family Development, ECEBC provides bursary funds to eligible students with priority given to Aboriginal students, students enrolled in early childhood education programs with an Aboriginal focus, and students working to achieve an infant/toddler education designation. Students can apply for up to $300 per course, to a maximum of $1500 per semester.
Applications will be rated per the following:
a) The applicant is attending an approved training institution;
b) The applicant is of Aboriginal descent;
c) The applicant must reside in British Columbia;
d) The applicant is enrolled in an early childhood education program with an Aboriginal focus;
e) The applicant is enrolled in an early childhood education program;
f) The applicant is enrolled in an early child childhood education program, and working to achieve an infant/toddler educator designation;
g) The applicant has clearly demonstrated financial need; and,
h) The applicant has received a passing grade in eligible ECE courses. (ECE Student Bursary Program Policy).
The application deadline is April 3, 2015.
