Snuneymuxw First Nation chief Doug White is calling for the federal government's impartiality during Ottawa's ongoing hearings into the proposed Enbridge Gateway pipeline project.

White is a member of the political executive of the province's First Nations Summit Task Group.

In a letter to the Conservative government, signed by members of the task group including White, the group said it is concerned about recent statements by federal officials regarding the controversial pipeline project.
