The Snuneymuxw are working to renew and protect their culture. This includes the return of lands that are necessary to sustain the culture, a return to self-government, renewal of the Snuneymuxw language, and the protection of cultural sites.

Some issues such as the protection of burial sites and petroglyphs on private lands will require creative solutions. The Snuneymuxw are willing to share parts of their culture and to work with their non-native neighbours to protect all of the cultural richness in Snuneymuxw Territory.
